Rampton Christmas Fairies
The Rampton Christmas Fairies are a small group of volunteers who strive to make Christmas in Rampton special! To raise funds we organise various social events throughout the year that are inclusive to all. We also help to run joint events with other village groups where we work together cohesively for the benefit of the village.
The Rampton Christmas Fairies’ social events include:
- the ‘Rampton Breakfasts’ - a pop-up breakfast café in the village hall, featuring the famous ‘full Rampton’
- two prize bingo evenings a year
- the Christmas lights switch on event, where Father Christmas arrives in ‘Squirt’ the Cottenham Fire Engine and there are carols around the tree courtesy of the ‘RampTones
- a Christmas coffee morning and craft fair
- the Rampton family Christmas party for Rampton children
Our events over the past twelve months have funded:
- the Christmas lights and tree
- the village paper round
- the family Christmas party, including a Christmas present for every Rampton child aged 11 and under
- support for individual people with tasks such as weekly shopping
Events we support working alongside other village groups include:
- jointly funding the community minibus for grocery shopping and various other trips
- ‘Tea on the Green’ – a village social event
- helping with the village warm-hub.
